Lynntech, Inc., a rapidly growing technology development company specializing in transitioning innovative ideas and concepts into marketable technologies, is seeking highly motivated, creative researchers for our team-driven work environment. We currently have exciting opportunities for a Research Assistant/Research Associate with a strong Chemistry background to participate in various chemistry-based technology development initiatives.

Responsibilities for a qualified person in this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the design and execution of laboratory experiments
  • Acquiring data using various electrochemical and analytical techniques
  • Wet lab work to include synthesis, drying, and analytical characterization
  • Analyzing and interpreting test results
  • Maintaining a laboratory notebook as a detailed log of experiments, results, and ongoing research efforts

Education and experience required:

  • BS or MS degree in Chemistry
  • Hands-on experience working in a laboratory research environment. The term "research" does not apply to conducting literature searches online, but specifically applies to physical work done in a research laboratory setting (not classwork).
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: organic synthesis, electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, biomaterials, inorganic materials, and "soft" materials.
  • Ability to design and carry out experiments with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and data management skills.
  • Proven technical writing abilities.
  • Effective communication (oral and written) skills that enable the individual to interact with all levels of management, technical and scientific personnel.
  • Proficiency in the use of various MS Office components.
